NOT from my personal photo collection

I wanted to show you some pictures, but finding suitable ones about the Thanksgiving season reminded me that my 30,000 photos are still begging for labeling. Also, many of my family members are quite private about photos being broadcast. I’ve included photos of my wide range of Thanksgiving experiences and would love to hear or see some of yours, too!

My life and the lives of many around me has been chaotic enough that there are chunks of time where we had traditions … and then there were chunks of time when we set those aside and created — or not — new ones. Sometimes I’ve been with friends, sometimes with family, sometime with both, and sometimes volunteered to help at a nursing home or civic event. I just wanted to stay home some years, too.

I remember so many things from all these times but I can’t find the photos yet. So here’s a little pot-pourri of my Thanksgiving through these many years.

Sandusky, OH 1952 (with my mother’s family)

My beloved grandmother, “Munner,” with me and brother Tom on her lap. Munner passed on in 1992 when she was 99 years old.
